Although there are various treatments available for the removal of unwanted hair, traditional techniques such as shaving, plucking, waxing and depilatory creams often lead to annoying rashes and ingrown hairs. They are also painful and worst of all, the results are only temporary.
In contrast, at Results Laser Clinic, effective Multilux IPL System as well as GentleLase Alexandrite Laser Hair Removal technology allow for the safe removal of unwanted hair without causing damage to the delicate pores and structures of the skin, leaving a smooth and flawless finish. Using IPL and Laser Hair Removal technologies, optimal wavelengths of light energy are gently delivered to both the hair shaft and follicle in pulses, through a delicate, computer-controlled handpiece. The laser hair removal treatment is non invasive and pain free, with full-face treatments taking only 20-30 minutes. Clients simply lie on a comfortable bed while the light is applied to the affected area. Once the treatment session is over, clients can return to their daily routine. This means no downtime or inconvenience.
Before each session begins, laser hair removal system settings are computer-customized according to skin colour and type and the area of the body being treated. Treatment begins by shaving or trimming away any hair above the surface of the skin and then conducting test spots to determine the patient's skin response to different device settings. Next, a cold gel (similar to ultrasound gel) is sometimes spread over the treatment area, helping keep the skin cool whilst focusing the light treatment. Patients wear special eyewear to protect the eyes from the bright light. The device handpiece is moved over the treatment area, while light-based energy is emitted in highly controlled flashes or pulses. This heats up the hair, significantly damaging the regrowth potential of the follicle. As part of the laser hair removal process, hair that is hidden under the skin during the treatment, will subsequently fall out over the next week or two. |
